CHAPTER NINE

The sound of Waka Flaka’s “Hard in the paint” came through the speakers of his iPhone and awakened Kyle from the deep nightmare he had been reliving.

“I’m mad at you, but I do kind of miss seeing your face,” Tammy said.

“Why is it so hard for you to try to be nice to me,” he asked hoping that she would offer him some sort of relief. He needed that more than anything at that moment.

“It’s because you constantly do stupid shit. Do you think I honestly want things to be this way between us,” she asked. “I do have better things I could be doings besides arguing with you.”

“I’m sure you do because you seem to have been very busy these last few weeks.”

“I have been because I want to get away soon. I’m ahead with all of my work, and I just want to go enjoy a few days outside of Orlando, but I just don’t have anyone to enjoy it with,” she replied.

“Was that your way of inviting me to join you for your get away,” he asked sheepishly.

“Hell no,” Tammy replied with a laugh. "That was, however, an indication that I’m willing to accept a sponsored vacation if someone is up to it.

Kyle didn’t hesitate to reply, “When do you want to go and where are we going.”

“I’ll let you be in charge this time on when we’re leaving, but I don’t want to go anywhere too far. It’s only going to be for a couple of days.”

“Well get ready and meet me at the mall in an hour. I’ve got to head out and make a quick run. Then, we can go grab you some things, so we can leave tonight.”

Kyle was eager to make this drop so he could quickly get to Tammy. Even though she could be a pain in the ass, he could tell little changes in her that proved to him that she was coming around.

In the time they had been dealing with each other, they had never done anything sexual and that made him even more attracted to her. She was sexy, but never depended only on that. Her body was banging, but her confidence and class made her even more appealing.

The vibration of his iPhone caused him to snap back to reality and remove himself from the day dream he had been in with Tammy.

“Hurry up and get here because you know I don’t like to wait,” Tammy said anxiously.

“I’m moving quickly, but I just got to finish this drop at the usual spot,” he replied. “If I run a little late I’ll just make sure to get you something really nice to make up for it.”

“So I guess this space is working after all because that was the smartest thing I’ve ever heard you say,” she replied with a giggle. “Meet me at the outlet mall in the Armani store; I’m starting my tab in an hour,” she said before the line went dead.
